What was once the Vincent County Truck Workshops has been lovingly converted into character accommodation, right in the heart of Clyde.
The Workshops offers four individually styled rooms, all furnished for comfort and each reflecting the unique history of the building.  With two bathrooms, a fully equipped guest kitchen, lounge and games room. The Workshops offers a homestay option with a difference. The layout provides guests with privacy, whilst the shared outdoor entertaining area, with BBQ, is the perfect opportunity to meet your hosts, Steve and Samantha and hear a few local tales.

 This is a very peaceful place to stay. Some have described it as soul rejuvenating. Enjoy the morning sun sitting in the cottage garden or on the veranda with freshly brewed coffee.

This cottage was originally built in 1865 as a miner’s cottage. It was added to over the years when the property was farmed and the family grew.

This cottage has been extensively restored over an 8 year period using quality furnishings and fittings. All modern conveniences have been added but great attention has been paid to retain the original feel.


This is a special location. The cottage is hidden away in a small valley with several fruit trees;
There are no neighbours or roads to disturb the peace.

This property produces its own electricity via solar panels and batteries. The water supply is from a spring running from high in the mountains behind.

6km away is the start of the Central Otago Rail Trail.

Accommodation – 2 bedrooms one Super King the other Queen

The cottage has full kitchen and dining facilities including a generous sized fridge/freezer, lounge, reading room and bathroom and separate toilet. There is a log burner for those cooler evenings.
