Blacks Hotel 
We are just 2 km from Omakau on a sealed road and a welcome sight after a long bike ride. Built in 1937 the Art Deco outside has been kept and where possible retained in the alteration inside.
We have just completed a total refurbishment of the Hotel inside as well as the Annex. All rooms are now either Queen or Twin with ensuites.
We can cater for groups of all sizes up to 20 and our rate includes a continental breakfast, cooked breakfasts are available.
We have a large 100 square metre deck just off the dining room so meals can be enjoyed both inside or out. Also lovely just enjoying a drink after a day on the bike.
Country Bristo meals between $10.00 and $26.00 are available in the evening and light bar meals during the day.
We offer EFTPOS, beer garden/deck area.
We have 7 cold beers on tap as well as non-alcoholic options.

The historic Ophir township has a charming collection of stone buildings from the goldmining days as well as a working post office, operated by The Historic Places Trust daily between 9.00am and noon.
If your time allows there are short trips to various places close by worthy of visiting and for larger groups our van could be available.
Nearby O'Connell's swing bridge dating from 1880 crosses the Manuherikia River and a 'must-see'.

The Old Bakery B&B offers a uniqueness like no other. Set adjacent to a well known romantic garden it has full facilities and a charming ambiance.
The two cottages date back to the 19th century, built from schist and festooned with roses in the summer they present a fairytale rustic charm.
