If you are looking for authentic Central Otago history, come to St. Bathans and stay in the former Police Camp, established in 1864. We offer visitor accommodation in two recently restored historic buildings – the Constable’s Cottage, built in 1884, and the former Jail. Central Otago Rail Trail riders can find us some 20 kms off the Trail on Loop Road.
Constables Cottage is a three bed-roomed dwelling with modern kitchen and bathroom, an elegant, sunny verandah overlooking the lake. Freeview TV, bbq and gardens overlooking the Blue Lake. The Jail is self-contained with queen-sized bed, small kitchen and bathroom and is located on a terrace above the cottage.
