Located close to the summit and at the halfway point of the Rail Trail, Wedderburn is the perfect stop to explore and experience the uniqueness of Central Otago. The histroic Wedderburn Tavern, built in 1885, situated in the heart of the Maniototo Plain on the Central Otago Rail Trail.

Once the preferred stop-over for coaches and wagons, it is now the favourite destination for Rail Trail cyclists.

Relax, unwind and experience the breath taking scenery from our Tavern restaurant.

We offer southern hospitality and an array of genuine seasonal dishes using fresh, local ingredients where possible, complimented by our award-winning Central Otago wines
