Rail Trail Planner based in Clyde at the start/finish of the Otago Central Rail Trail provides all the services needed to make your Otago Central Rail Trail trip a memorable and hassle free experience.

Transport of people and bikes to and from the Rail Trail between Dunedin and Middlemarch and to any point on the trail between Middlemarch and Clyde.

  • Pick up from or transport to Queenstown, Dunedin, Dunedin Airport or the Taieri Gorge Train at Pukerangi, all locations on the Otago Central Rail Trail.
  • Mountain bike, helmet and accessories hire as required.
  • Free vehicle storage in Clyde.
  • Vehicle delivery from Clyde to Middlemarch or Middlemarch to Clyde can be arranged
  • Free itinerary planning to include accommodation,bikes, transport and bag transfers.
  • One to seven day supported packages for those who wish to have everything taken care of. Packages include: bike hire, accommodation, side-trips with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, all transport and vehicle support.
  • Trips can extend to exploring the historic towns of St Bathans and Naseby including mountain biking the trails of Naseby Forest.
  • Your cycling or walking adventure can be planned to include: wine-tasting, curling and visits to historic gold mining towns such as Cambrian and St Bathans.

New for 2017-2018 season. We now offer a self-drive option. Suited to those with the friend or family member that is unable to cycle the trail but does not want to miss experience. The vehicle will also allow your group to explore the surrounding areas. 
We can arrange vehicles with bike racks or trailers to transport your group along with their bikes. 
Station Wagons with bike racks for up to four cycles.
Minibuses with room for bikes also with bike trailers for larger groups. 
This can also be the option for budget travelers who wish to safe the cost of daily bag transfers.
Vehicles can be collected or dropped off in Dunedin or Christchurch.
