Silver Peaks Lodge is ideally situated to begin or end the Otago Rail Trail. We can pick up or drop off at the Wingatui Train Station (5mins from Silver Peaks Lodge). The Taieri Train provides transport to Middlemarch/Pukerangi to begin or end rail trail.

Relax in the spa pool  and soothe sore muscles from riding or prepare for the journey ahead.
For those wanting to ride the rail trail on horse back we can provide equestrian facilities including stables with 6 loose boxes.

Silver Peaks Lodge offers quality accommodation just minutes south of Dunedin city 255 Main South Road Only 10 minutes from Dunedin International Airport and within very easy driving distance to the Catlins area and the Otago Peninsula.
Relax in a quiet warm rural atmosphere and enjoy the stunning views over the fertile Taieri Plains and the hills beyond. Set in 16 acres of farmland with a large garden and pond area.
