The historic Oturehua Railway Hotel a Coaching Inn built in the late 1800′s situated in the picturesque Ida Valley is the home of the curling Bonspiel and the famous winter Brass Monkey motorcycle rally. Whether you are riding or walking the Central Otago Rail Trail or driving through the Ida Valley stop for a while and enjoy the stunning views of Rough Ridge and the Hawkdun Ranges from our large family beer garden or alternatively warm up by our cosy fire on our comfortable couches. Whatever season come in and enjoy some southern hospitality.  We pride ourselves on our home cooked meals, whether it be a giant Cheese Roll or our award winning Steak & Guinness pie. We stock local craft beers, award winning local wines and fruit juices.  Hummingbird beans are only used for our range of specialty coffees. Our menu includes gluten free, vegetarian and vegan food options. Children are very welcome to come and enjoy our playground, petanque court or our indoor giant checkers table and we have a dedicated food menu for them.  Free WiFi is available for all our customers and guests.

When staying in the area please ensure you book in advance for dinner and if necessary advise us of any special dietary requirements.

Our courtesy coach is available to pick you up from your accommodation and take you back after your meal.

Large groups are welcome and we can provide a buffet or off our main menu. Bookings are essential.
